Everyone listens to music, but in a group like this I imagine there are more than a few of us that play an instrument or sing. I should think it doesn't matter if your tastes ams brutal or not, or even if you just play kazoo. Tell use your instrument(s), how long you've been playing, what styles you play, and whereabouts you're active (or not active.)
I play bass, a little guitar, and harmonica on occasion. I got my first bass when I was 14, that was 10 years ago now. I'm in northern California, but not currently in any bands. I also sing, clean vox, kind of a soul/classic RnB kind of sound to my voice.

I'm only now starting to learn guitar, but I've been a singer forever. My biggest involvement with music, though, was 6 years working at a music venue as an audio engineer!

I've dabbled in singing since I was a kid. I was in chorus from 1st to 8th grade, then just sang on my own for leisure from 9th grade til now. I can do clean, growls, bass, and screams. Not that great at them, but I still try so I can improve.

Once upon a time, I played alittle violin- as a kid. Never got all that great then life happened aaaand here I am. Always wished I was more musically adept but I guess it's not in the cards. For now

I sing for fun, but I don't like letting people hear me. I am planning to get Rocksmith, though, and learn guitar, maybe bass like Murderface.

I've been wanting to learn mandolin and do metal covers, so I'm starting out on guitar. I'm all thumbs, so we'll see how it goes. [EDIT: Just reminded myself of one of my favorite stories from my old job... we worked with the Oak Ridge Boys every year, and their lighting guy would always complain about the festival shows they did with bluegrass bands, and how bluegrass acts always want very mellow, simple lighting. "I mean, it's just a bunch of driving rhythm and fast finger-picking, to me that's movers and lighting bumps all over the place like a fucking rock show, but NOOOOOOO!" And then I imagine a bluegrass show staged like a big rock gig and you're welcome, that's a great mental picture. ]

Amusingly enough, I was an opera singer? Ahaha, I've been out of the game for a while, but I won a few competitions in my hometown and studied it a little bit into college. Now I mostly sing recreationally, making shitty songs for myself on my trashy grandpa guitar, doing a lot of folky stuff. I love Brendan small' voice to death, but goddamn I could never even try to emulate a death metal or rock voice. Much to my dismay, ahah.
[[ I write a lot of fan songs tho, because I am 100% fandom trash let's be real. ]]

My fandom trash activities involve making OCs to be my favorite character's SO in any given series. I am looking forward to learning some Dethklok songs through Rocksmith, though. I know they have three, and are willing to add more if they get enough interest in any given song.

I know the struggle real as hell XD

I'm playing recorders (that's a type of flute), tin whistles and a little keyboard. I even played in a band for a short while, no material recorded though as dudes turned out to be assholes. I also sing for fun, but I would never sing in public. Aaand I'm desperately trying to learn how to growl.

It starts with helping you get used to playing the guitar and familiarizing yourself with different chords and techniques. I have it, but I don't have the time I wish I had to play it more. They recently released a Dethklok DLC pack too. I'm planning on eventually learning that, and the Volbeat pack.

I am a dabbler with no real skill in anything... Piano, accordion, ukulele. I can't sing really at all, but I do my best with Toki and Pickles's parts from Doomstar when I am in the car.
And yes, I have started working on a Doomstar arrangement for accordion, but my skills are not where I would need them to be. Bah.

Lol, I'm doing the same with Pickles' parts! Not in a car though. He has awesome singing voice in Doomstar Requiem.
